Position Overview

The Generalist Video Captioning Expert role at Crossing Hurdles is a remote, hourly contract position. You will work with top candidates for leading AI research labs, helping build and train cutting-edge AI systems by analyzing video content and generating accurate, nuanced annotations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Watch videos to generate concise and detailed annotations
  • Describe subjects, objects, environments, audio cues, temporal flow, mood, and storytelling elements
  • Apply analytical judgment to decide on the best attributes for each clip
  • Collaborate with team members in multi-round review cycles
  • Follow linguistic, timing, and stylistic guidelines provided by the research team

Requirements

  • Experience in movie production, film editing, screenwriting, archiving, video tagging, media analysis, or content annotation
  • Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail
  • Ability to document findings clearly and concisely
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick adaptation to new taxonomies and annotation schemes
