Backend Engineer | $42/hr Remote

Position: Backend Engineer (JSON Schema Developer)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $40 - $42/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Analyze complex documents to identify and model structured data points.
• Design and implement robust JSON schemas with appropriate field types and structure.
• Define validation rules, constraints, and logical relationships within schemas.
• Develop API contracts to ensure seamless data integration across systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine data requirements and schema design.
• Document schema structures, field definitions, and usage guidelines clearly.
• Promote best practices in data modeling, architecture, and scalability.

Requirements

• Strong experience in data modeling, schema design, and JSON schema development.
• Expertise in creating deeply nested and scalable data structures.
• Strong understanding of validation logic, field typing, and schema constraints.
• Ability to translate unstructured data into structured models.
• Experience defining API contracts and data integration workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.
