Job Description

About Croisières AML

Croisières AML is a family-owned company established in Quebec for 50 years. We are the largest cruise and excursion company in Canada! Our mission: to offer personalized service and a warm welcome to all our clients.

Role Overview

At the heart of the AML experience, the Social Media and Communications Coordinator plays a key role in the visibility of our brands. Working directly with the field, operations, and customer experience teams, the person in this role ensures a consistent, constant, and engaging presence on social media. The role involves transforming what is actually experienced—life on board, the teams, the passengers, and the rhythm of the seasons—into authentic and relevant content. After an initial phase of collaboration with creators and influencers during the operational season, the person gradually takes over content production to ensure continuity throughout the year.

Your Daily Mission

  • Editorial Strategy: Develop and implement the editorial line, plan content calendars, and define key messages according to marketing objectives.
  • Content Creation: Produce creative, relevant content adapted to each platform (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and aligned with the brand.
  • Field Production: Capture real-time photo/video content to highlight the customer experience and feed social media.
  • Social Media Management: Publish, animate communities, respond to interactions, and monitor trends and competitors.
  • Influence and UGC: Manage collaborations with influencers and develop user-generated content to enhance authenticity.
  • Sponsorships: Evaluate and manage partnerships to maximize visibility and return on investment.
  • Media Relations: Ensure media monitoring, coordinate interview requests, and support communications with the media.
This is a field-based position, with approximately 60% of the time dedicated to travel. The person in this role is regularly present where things are happening: on board the boats, at the sites, and during key operations. The rhythm and schedule follow the seasons and the reality of the field. This role is for someone who loves to move, observe, and capture reality.

Our Ideal Colleague

  • Creativity, initiative.
  • Rigor, autonomy, and organizational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills, team spirit.
  • Strong interest in tourism, the maritime sector, and customer experience.
The fit will be right with Croisières AML if you have:
  • A degree in communications, marketing, tourism, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the tourism or event sector.
  • Bilingualism in French/English (an asset depending on the geographical context).
  • Experience in social media, content creation, UGC, or influencer marketing.
  • Strong writing skills (impeccable spelling, adaptable tone) in French and English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally.
  • Must be comfortable with occasional travel between Montreal, Quebec City, and Tadoussac during high season.
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva and the Adobe Suite, and editing skills, are a plus.
Here's what awaits you at Croisières AML:
  • Permanent employment: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) Monday to Friday with occasional travel.
  • Variable schedule during the summer, including evenings and weekends, with several company events to cover.
  • Social activities offered throughout the year (BBQ lunches, team activities).
  • Free coffee, tea, herbal tea, or hot chocolate.
  • Group insurance program paid 50% by the employer.
  • Discount on your public transport pass (RTC).
  • Discounts on all AML products and AML trips.
  • Group RRSP.
  • 2 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks off for the holiday season.
  • 6 sick or personal days.
  • Continuous development and training: Constantly improving and evolving is essential for Croisières AML, so inevitably, that's what we want for our employees!
