Overview

The Staff Engineer Frontend at Crocs, Inc will lead the evolution of digital platforms through innovative frontend solutions and composable commerce strategies. This role focuses on solving complex architectural challenges, building proof-of-concept applications and guiding large-scale migrations to modern frameworks.

What You'll Do

  • Define and evolve the frontend architecture strategy focusing on headless and composable commerce.
  • Lead migration of legacy codebases to modern frameworks such as React and Next.js.
  • Evaluate and propose changes to existing tool integrations in line with future direction.
  • Build and validate proof-of-concept applications for new technologies.
  • Develop reusable components, libraries, and tooling to accelerate development.
  • Ensure high standards of performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with frontend and backend teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Mentor senior engineers and take part in technical reviews and decision-making processes.
  • Advocate for standard processes including testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • 8+ years of frontend development experience with a focus on architecture.
  • Deep expertise in React, Next.js, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience in composable commerce ecosystems and proof-of-concept development.
  • Strong understanding of API-first development and integration with backend services.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with proven mentoring experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and headless implementations using OCAPI/SCAPI.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization, analytics, and observability tools is preferred.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities is a plus.
