About The Role
We are seeking a Power BI Engineering Analytics professional to join our team. You will be instrumental in translating business requirements into insightful Power BI data models and visualizations. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem, ensuring data reliability and consistency through rigorous validation and testing.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for business stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into effective Power BI data models and visualizations.
- Design, develop, and optimize data warehouse solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and T-SQL.
- Design ETL processes, including data mapping and integration from various heterogeneous sources (e.g., SAP, Abacus, Oracle, MariaDB, Postgres, Progress, flat files).
- Perform data validation, quality assurance, and testing to ensure data reliability and consistency.
- Conduct data migration, transformation, and automation using Python and PowerShell scripting.
- Produce comprehensive technical and functional documentation.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders and provide cross-departmental support.
Qualifications
- Academic background in Engineering or similar (Software, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, etc.).
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in requirements engineering and business analysis for data projects within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Proven skills in Power BI report and dashboard design and maintenance.
- Strong experience in data warehouse (DWH) design, development, and optimization using Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and T-SQL.
- Proficiency in ETL process design, data mapping, and integration from multiple heterogenous sources.
- Experience with data validation, quality assurance, and testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in data migration, transformation, automation, and scripting using Python and PowerShell.
- Ability to produce clear technical and functional documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-departmental support skills.
- Fluent in English.
