About the Role

As an intern within the Retail Media Activation team, you will support Account Strategists in the operational and strategic management of advertising campaigns for leading retailers and partner brands across various verticals (Lego, Microsoft, Nespresso, Philips, etc.). This internship offers an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic digital environment, learn the fundamentals of Retail Media, and discover Criteo's technologies.

Main Responsibilities:

Campaign Activation & Optimization
  • Participate in the launch, setup, and monitoring of Retail Media campaigns (Sponsored Products, display formats, etc.).
  • Analyze performance and identify optimization opportunities to improve results.
  • Prepare simple recommendations under the supervision of an Account Strategist.
Client Relationship Management
  • Assist Account Strategists during client meetings (reviews, weekly check-ins, new solution presentations).
  • Contribute to presentation preparation: reviews, insights, industry analyses.
  • Aid in daily operational management: document updates, data collection, activation tracking.
Internal Coordination & Project Management
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Analytics, Product) to ensure campaign delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in the creation of internal documents (processes, guidelines, best practices).
Monitoring & Analysis
  • Follow Retail Media innovations, e-commerce trends, and Criteo product developments.
  • Produce simple benchmarks or ad-hoc analyses (e.g., shopper behavior, category performance).

Expected Progression:

Initial scope discovery: tools, processes, products, solution pitches. Perform operational tasks under constant supervision. Always accompanied by an Account Strategist or Sales Manager in client meetings and presentations. Develop autonomy in campaign management and KPI understanding. May lead a simple weekly client call if comfortable and approved by mentor. Proactivity expected in campaign optimizations. Ability to manage workload, deadlines, and prioritize according to business needs. Capacity to identify performance issues and propose improvement paths. Be proactive in suggesting alternatives when a client faces difficulties.

Who You Are:

  • Student in a business school, communication school, engineering school, or equivalent university program.
  • Prior experience in digital, retail, e-commerce, or data is a plus.
  • Fluent in French and professional English (written & oral).
  • Strong interest in digital advertising, e-commerce, and AdTech technologies.
  • Analytical skills: comfortable with numbers, ability to interpret data (Excel, Data Studio/Looker appreciated).
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, organized, and rigorous.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and quickly develop skills.
  • Team player with strong cross-functional cooperation.
  • Client-oriented with a service mindset.
  • Attention to detail.
