About the Operations Manager Role

At Ashby Jones and Associates, LLC, we believe legal advocacy should be bold, empathetic, and efficient. Our fast-growing, woman-led law firm in Lexington, South Carolina is expanding quickly. We serve clients through challenging life events and are seeking a hands-on, strategic, and emotionally intelligent Operations Manager to be the backbone of our operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Financial Administration: Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, and reconciliation of trust accounts using Clio and QuickBooks.
  • HR Oversight: Track PTO/sick leave, maintain personnel files and address sensitive personnel issues.
  • Team Management: Run weekly check-ins, implement and track KPIs, and support team collaboration.
  • Operations & Office Management: Oversee daily operations, manage tech troubleshooting, and vendor relationships.
  • System & Process Development: Create SOPs, lead quarterly reviews, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Onboarding & Training: Build 30-60-90 day plans and develop training content including manuals and welcome videos.
  • Payroll & Benefits Coordination: Work with Southern Payroll and help source competitive benefits.
  • Performance Management: Develop performance review structures and formal evaluation processes.
  • Event & Outreach Coordination: Manage community sponsorships, event logistics, and firm branding distribution.
  • Owner Support: Handle daily staff needs, problem-solve operational issues, and protect leadership focus.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years in a law firm or service-based operations role.
  • Proven experience with financial administration and trust account management.
  • Strong skills in HR oversight, team leadership, and process development.
  • Proficiency in Clio, QuickBooks, Google Suite, Outlook and related tech.
  • Excellent communication, discretion and a proactive, adaptable mindset.
