Manager Corporate Communications

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Manager for Corporate Communications to manage and enhance our external communications strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for elevating and delivering key messaging to various stakeholders, maintaining the company’s brand image, media share of voice, and overseeing PR & communication initiatives that support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications

  • Own, develop and execute comprehensive annual PR and communication plans that align with the company and business unit’s objectives and enhance their media share of voice.
  • Own and manage social media efforts for the Senior leadership team.
  • Present monthly/Quarterly reviews on PR efforts, its progress, and provide timely feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Create storytelling angles and media opportunities to reinforce the brand in alignment with business priorities.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and media outlets to ensure positive press coverage and effective message management.

Media Relations

  • Secure excellent traction (based on internal parameters) for every press release and deliver prominent placement for thought leadership content.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier national, financial, trade and regional editors and senior correspondents.
  • Monitor and report media trends related to industry, competitors, media movements, and regulatory environment.
  • Schedule in-person meetings (pre-defined media rounds) with key journalists on monthly basis.
  • Manage upto three press releases per day, scout for industry story opportunities, and organize regular Relationship Building Meetings.
  • Scout for speaking and participation opportunities at media events.

Execom Leaders Profiling

  • Own, plan and execute annual media program for the senior leadership team.
  • Present monthly review covering its progress, update on upcoming opportunities, and provide regular feedback.

Agency Coordination

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure contract deliverables are met and adequate support is being provided to business teams.
  • Engage with business stakeholders on monthly / quarterly basis to understand media requirements and ensure delivery.
  • Lead weekly BAU calls with agency to track ongoing activities, execute planned initiatives and discuss way forward.

Stakeholder Management

  • Conduct monthly meetings with spokespeople to discuss pending items, upcoming activities and their business priorities.
  • Incumbent’s stakeholder relationships will be assessed based on C-SAT score (internal scoring system).

Operation Management of flagship media events

  • Collaborate with internal Marketing & Communication team and business team on media assets event flow, logistics, and other related matters.
  • Curate and manage media invitation process, drive attendance of relevant media, including from top-tier publications and broadcast outlets.
  • Conduct comprehensive media outreach efforts, follow-ups, and share post-event coverage.
  • Compile and share a detailed analysis of media efforts to business post-event.

Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines across all applicable channels and touchpoints.
  • Ensure broadcast appearances of regulated teams are executed as per the compliance procedure.
  • Share internal audit requirements with compliance teams as necessary.
  • Own, update, review and maintain various PR / media internal SOP documents, holding statements, and crisis playbooks as required.

Account Management & Documentation

  • Review and finalise reporting documents covering share of voice analysis, competition analysis & insights presentation to every business unit/stakeholder on monthly/ quarterly basis.

Crisis Communication

  • Support crisis communication efforts by providing timely, clear, and accurate messaging during critical situations.
  • Work with leadership to manage reputational risks and issues effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum 9-12 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a similar role.
  • Journalism experience is a must.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage media relationships and media outreach.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
