Our innovative platform streamlines the complex visa-application process, handling everything from evidence collection and letter drafting to automated form generation. We leverage cutting-edge research and large language models (LLMs) to accelerate every stage of the process.

We are currently expanding our foundational technical team in New Zealand. This presents a unique opportunity for a Full-Stack Developer to significantly influence Concord’s product and technology development from its very inception, utilizing the latest tools and frameworks to tackle intellectually stimulating challenges.

Role Responsibilities

  • Platform Development: Collaborate with our product and engineering teams to advance our platform using a modern full-stack JavaScript stack, including React, Tanstack Start, Node.js, Hono, PostgreSQL + Prisma, and Tailwind CSS. You will address intriguing technical challenges that have tangible real-world impact.
  • R&D and AI Integration: Explore and validate practical use-cases for large language models (LLMs) aimed at enhancing the customer experience and optimizing internal workflows. Your role will involve testing, optimizing, and implementing model-based features, with a strong emphasis on achieving performance, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Security and Privacy by Design: Given our handling of sensitive personal and corporate data, security is paramount in all our development. You will contribute to establishing robust guardrails such as encryption at rest, stringent data siloing, and strict controls over Personally Identifiable Information (PII) exposure, particularly within third-party or AI-driven systems.
  • Product Shaping: Work closely with cross-functional teams to design intuitive workflows, impactful automations, and significant product enhancements that can scale across diverse jurisdictions and various visa categories. You will have substantial input into the strategic evolution of our platform as we expand our global reach.

Experience And Skills

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in software development, ideally with a background in complex applications, SaaS platforms, or high-growth startups.
  • Technical Fluency: Proficient with modern JavaScript frameworks across the entire stack, including TypeScript, React, and Node.js, as well as experience with SQL-based databases. Familiarity with AI frameworks or APIs is a plus, but a strong conceptual understanding of how AI functions and its current limitations is highly valued.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: You excel at dissecting and resolving complex problems, consistently delivering elegant and straightforward solutions.
  • Product-Obsessed: You possess a deep commitment to the quality of what you build, focusing not only on the code but also on the user experience and performance.
  • Curiosity: You are an innate tinkerer, eager to experiment with new tools, paradigms, and technologies within a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.
  • Communication: Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to comfortably engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, from startup founders to HR leaders and legal teams.
