Mainframe Automation Engineer
As part of CA-GIP, the TechFoundation Pole is responsible for driving the industrialization of technological infrastructures and services, while ensuring the performance and security of operations for the entire Crédit Agricole Group. In this context, the Automation and Observability Expertise Domain (DE AEO) has a strategic ambition: to accelerate the transformation of practices through better visibility into IT systems and continuous process optimization through automation. The Development and Automation team (DAM) is responsible for managing the development platform, providing CA-GIP teams and client entities with development and automation solutions to achieve industrial scale. This team is divided into 4 squads. Each squad is led by a Product Owner who ensures the delivery of roadmaps.
Role Overview
A candidate is sought for an Infrastructure Engineer position within the Dev Mainframe squad of the Development and Automation team (DAM). The Dev Mainframe squad consists of 5 members whose main responsibilities include:
- Administering BMC automation products (BMC AMI Ops Automation)
- Processing Mainframe automation requests from various technical domains (infrastructure and business/clients)
- Ensuring the quality of repositories
- Designing REXX scripts to tool operations
- Managing incidents and changes related to the squad's domain
Key Responsibilities
As a Mainframe Automation Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be:
- Provide technical expertise on Mainframe infrastructures and zSeries servers (z/OS and associated components)
- Manage and maintain CICS, DB2, MQSeries, Network, and Mainview ecosystems in a production environment
- Offer general technical support across all IT technologies (systems, networks, databases, storage, middleware)
- Collaborate closely with internal technical teams and project managers to ensure service continuity
- Maintain a quality client relationship with users of CAGIP and its client entities
- Coordinate and supervise RUN activities in collaboration with English-speaking contracted teams
- Ensure technical and functional communication in French and English, depending on the audience
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the squad's processes and tools
