Context

The Compute & Cloud Experience department is the single point of entry for infrastructures supporting applications and their lifecycles. To deliver products efficiently, the department relies on a product catalog and handles specific out-of-catalog needs. The Data & AI expertise domain manages end-to-end data solutions, including modern Data Lakehouse platforms. The BIG DATA team, specifically the Flexible Lakehouse team, is responsible for the service offering built on on-premise Kubernetes clusters oriented towards DATA, using various infrastructure services and packaged products.

Missions of the DevOps Lakehouse Expert

As a DevOps / Lakehouse Expert Engineer, your primary missions will include:

• Advanced implementation and administration of Kubernetes: end-to-end deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters without graphical interfaces.
• Automation and industrialization: setting up CI/CD pipelines with GitOps (ArgoCD, FluxCD, etc.).
• Optimization and high availability: implementing scaling strategies, advanced monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana), and resilience management.
• Support and RUN: ensuring operational maintenance in GitOps mode, with no manual intervention.
• Advanced deployment and administration of Spark, Trino, or Jupyter applications on Kubernetes.
• Performance tuning and optimization: adjusting configurations, analyzing logs, advanced debugging, optimizing SQL queries (Trino), and tuning Spark jobs.
• Advanced security and monitoring: implementing metrics and alerts on Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and managing access and application logs.

A note on travel: Occasional travel to our various sites is expected. This position can also be exercised from the Montpellier site (34).

Candidate Profile

• Education/Specialization: Higher education in Computer Science.
• Experience Level: 6 - 10 years.
• Technical Skills: Kubernetes, Openshift, Git, Argo CD, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, CI/CD Process Security, Prometheus, Grafana, HashiCorp Vault, Spark.
• Behavioral Skills: Relational ease, Consulting and service-oriented, Rigor, Professional awareness.
• Languages: Operational English.
