About the Role: SEO Manager
Credible is seeking a data-driven, results-oriented SEO Manager to join its dedicated SEO team. This is a unique opportunity to elevate your SEO career within the highly competitive financial services sector. You will be responsible for the strategy, planning, and execution of content-driven SEO projects. As an SEO Manager, you will lead the expansion of Credible's search visibility, collaborating closely with content and product teams. Your role involves analyzing and testing SEO theories, developing and leading growth strategies, and running SEO initiatives to drive qualified traffic. Ultimately, your work will empower consumers to make better financial decisions, profoundly impacting their financial livelihood.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage content workflow, understanding production timelines.
- Conduct extensive topical and competitive research to interpret user intent and produce best-in-class content briefs.
- Pair keyword research with business data to inform strategic recommendations.
- Craft and test SEO hypotheses to drive innovation.
- Identify, quantify, and manage SEO opportunities to increase organic traffic and generate qualified leads.
- Perform regular SEO audits and optimization exercises across the site.
- Consult and provide recommendations to various internal teams, including content and product.
- Assist in driving the strategy and execution of Credible’s content optimization engine, ensuring top rankings.
- Conduct on-page analysis at scale for proper keyword targeting on Credible pages.
- Monitor organic search performance for Credible and top competitor sites, especially in the personal loan vertical.
- Deliver recurring SEO performance reports, offering actionable insights for senior executives and stakeholders.
- Collaborate on quarterly progress reviews and forecasts for SEO growth.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and continuously expand SEO knowledge.
Education and Experience
- 6+ years of experience in SEO, digital content, and/or marketing with a proven track record of results.
- Ability to strategize, plan, implement, and monitor multiple projects independently.
- Experience quantifying the impact of SEO recommendations, both pre- and post-implementation.
- Proficiency with essential SEO software (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, etc.).
- Resourcefulness in seeking out relevant information.
- Experience writing content briefs and technical briefs for production.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating under pressure.
- Possesses a problem-solving, detail-oriented, and analytical mindset.
- Ability to inspect HTML and explain its SEO impact; functional knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and composition.
- Superior attention to detail, organization, and strong project management skills.
- Experience managing at a minimum, hundreds of pages or more.
- Experience working within WordPress and other content management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, journalism, communications, information technology, or a related field preferred.
