Job Summary

The Publishing Administrator role is responsible for maintaining catalog metadata for the CBMG/Broke catalog, delivering song registrations, and resolving split disputes with collection societies and publishers. Experience with Label Engine or music distribution services is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard writers under CBMG/Broke Publishing service
  • Maintain and update metadata in internal database
  • Research catalogs, publishing credits, and recording information
  • Deliver registrations to collection societies
  • Resolve claim disputes with societies and publishers
  • Create recording matches in MLC and CMRRA
  • Resolve MLC overclaims
  • Perform other administrative tasks

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years experience or education in music publishing administration
  • Excel and Google Sheets advanced user; familiarity with Mac OSX and productivity tools
  • Experience with collection societies (ASCAP, BMI, Harry Fox, MLC, etc.)
  • Familiarity with data management systems and music publishing rights
  • Strong research, analysis, and client service skills
  • Knowledge of internet culture and social media platforms

Compensation

Pay Scale: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, determined by experience and fit.
