Job Description
Bilingual ClaimsAlert Agent at Crawford & Company
We are currently recruiting for a part-time Bilingual ClaimsAlert Agent to join our team remotely in Canada. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements.
The hourly wage range is $20 to $24. This role requires frequent interactions in English and requires reading and preparing documents in English on a frequent basis.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the intake of new claims, primarily auto and property claims.
- Document new claim details on behalf of insurance companies.
- Provide the insured with immediate assistance required at the time of the call.
- Assign new claims to the appropriate insurance company.
- This is a 24/7 operation with peak volume occurring in the evenings and over the weekends. Our scheduling team will work with successful candidates to create a schedule that balances employee and business needs.
Qualifications
- Bilingual, French and English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Basic computer troubleshooting skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, etc), with a willingness to learn new programs/systems.
- Team player attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities for handling phone inquiries.
- Excellent data entry and typing speed with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment.
- 1-2 years of customer service experience is required.
- Past experience in a call centre is an asset.
- Past experience in related field such as insurance, construction, restoration, automotive is considered an asset.
