Job Description
About Cozey
At Cozey, we are passionate about bringing possibilities to life in your home and making furniture buying as simple and enjoyable as possible. Our thoughtfully designed, contemporary collections adapt to evolving lifestyles, blending innovation, excellent value, and exceptional customer service. As a fast-growing, digitally-driven brand, our success relies on a passionate team that shares our ambition to redefine the furniture buying experience.
The mission of the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager at Cozey
The Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager is responsible for one of the company's most strategic growth levers: how customers discover our products and how effectively we convert that intent into revenue. This role drives paid search and shopping at scale, with full ownership of strategy and execution, while managing product catalogs that support performance on major paid platforms. You will shape Cozey's presence at key moments of intent, orchestrate new product launches and expansions, and structure data to support sustainable growth. More than a channel owner, you will act as a strategic partner within the Performance Marketing team, bringing clear perspectives, driving experimentation, and building a solid infrastructure that fosters informed decisions as the company evolves. This position reports to the CEO and Founder, Frédéric Aubé.
What you will do
- Take ownership of the planning, execution, and optimization of the paid Google ecosystem (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Demand Gen/YouTube, remarketing).
- Define and drive SEM strategy across the customer journey, including accountability for results, budget forecasting, and tracking, in partnership with the Performance Marketing lead.
- Design and maintain scalable, rigorous account structures (brand vs. non-brand, category segmentation, audience layers), ensuring clear documentation and structured change management.
- Manage product catalog performance and feeds in Google Merchant Center in collaboration with the MarTech manager to optimize feed health.
- Develop and optimize Performance Max and Shopping programs end-to-end (asset group strategy, audience signals, feed-based segmentation, creative refresh cadence, control mechanisms) to maximize incremental value and limit inefficiencies.
- Implement a structured testing roadmap (queries/keywords, feed attributes and segmentation, creatives/messaging, landing pages) in collaboration with the Creative and Web teams, and translate learnings into repeatable improvements.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to leverage incrementality tests (control groups, geo-tests, lift studies), and translate learnings into concrete optimizations (bids, budgets, targeting, media mix).
- Present clear, actionable analyses on a weekly and monthly basis, and leverage automation, scripts, and AI tools to improve tracking, standardize optimizations, and increase team efficiency.
What you are looking for
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on SEM experience on Google (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, Demand Gen).
- Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing annual paid search budgets of $15M-$20M+.
- Experience with high Average Order Value (AOV) products.
- Proven experience managing complex product catalogs across various paid platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to develop paid search strategies aligned with an overall Performance Marketing strategy.
- Solid understanding of attribution and performance measurement concepts.
- Experience in DTC, e-commerce, or retail.
You will succeed in this role if you
- Think in systems, not just tactics. You value account structure, product feeds, and measurement foundations as much as daily optimizations, building sustainable solutions.
- Have operated in large-scale, complex environments. You are comfortable managing multi-million dollar SEM programs, making budget trade-offs, and prioritizing high-impact actions.
- Bring clear, well-reasoned perspectives. You don't wait for perfect data to act: you form hypotheses, challenge assumptions, and clearly articulate your reasoning.
- View catalogs and feeds as true performance levers. You leverage attributes, segmentation, and data structure to drive efficiency and scale.
- Prioritize measurement and rigor. You think about attribution, incrementality, and the true meaning of performance.
- Care about the brand as much as the results. You aim for growth that enhances the customer experience and brand equity, not growth at all costs.
We take care of you
- Competitive compensation with a comprehensive benefits package.
- Continuous opportunities for personal and professional development within a fast-growing company.
- A generous vacation policy to help you recharge.
- A role where your strategies and decisions directly influence the company's operations and growth.
- An inclusive work environment where everyone is welcomed, heard, and valued.
Please note that we may use AI-powered tools to support certain stages of our recruitment process, such as candidate screening and interview coordination.
