About the Strategic Account Executive Role

The Strategic Account Executive at Covetrus is responsible for managing relationships with a defined group of corporate accounts. They will identify opportunities to maximize efficiency, develop growth roadmaps, and drive sales results by working closely with corporate C-suite executives and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with C-suite and VP level customers.
  • Identify client needs, understand buying cycles, and align Covetrus solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts in partnership with Pricing and Strategic Partnerships teams.
  • Create formal account plans and perform quarterly business reviews.
  • Act as an internal quarterback to coordinate subject matter experts.
  • Manage customer P&L to meet profit, revenue, and growth targets.
  • Stay informed of market dynamics by attending conferences and industry events.

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of B2B sales experience with a focus on complex accounts.
  • Experience in Healthcare Services; Animal Health experience is a plus.
  • Strong strategic mindset and executive presence.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Salesforce CRM.
  • Proven success in contract negotiations and cross-functional teamwork.
