Uncover Hiring Manager

Job Description

Senior Performance Marketing Specialist at Coverflex

Coverflex exists to make compensation work for everyone. Pay is still rigid, fragmented, and hard to feel. We turn compensation into choice — one platform, one card, one app — for benefits, meal allowance, insurance, and more. Our platform is simple for HR and meaningful for employees, providing choice, smarter compensation tools, and empowerment.

The Essentials

  • Role: Senior Performance Marketing Specialist
  • Seniority Level: Senior
  • Type: Individual Contributor
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Languages: English (main) & Italian OR Spanish OR Portuguese (required)
  • Location: Remote (Europe)
  • Compensation: Base Salary*: €35,000 – €50,000, Equity: Yes – Stock Options under our Equity Incentive Plan, Benefits: Check all benefits and perks below depending on experience and where you are based

Your Impact

You’ll play a key role in scaling Coverflex’s self-service engine for small businesses across Italy, Spain, or Portugal. You’ll be fully owning demand generation in one of those markets, helping us reach our ambitious goals of 1,000 (and soon 4,000!) companies acquired per month through scalable, sustainable channels. Your mission? Leverage acquisition tactics to drive volume, identify what works, and build the growth engine for this untapped segment. This is a brand new motion, and you’ll be the first to own it. We’re hiring three people for this role — one for each country — so you’ll be focusing exclusively on your local market (Italy, Spain, or Portugal).

How We’ll Measure Success:

  • Main KPI 1: number of signups without any interaction with a BDR/SDR/MDR.
  • Main KPI 2: >2k leads to the assigned BDR on a monthly basis.
  • Main KPI 3: number of companies won.

Reality Check - What Makes This Role Hard

Let’s be real - here’s what makes this role challenging:

  • You need to identify the right channels — ones with enough volume to scale and efficient enough to deliver results.
  • It’s not just about testing; it’s about doubling down on what works and making growth sustainable.
  • The hardest part? Balancing speed and scale: moving fast without wasting resources, and staying focused while experimenting constantly.

You

Must-haves (evidence, not years)

  • Hands-on experience in paid marketing/growth/demand-gen, focused on achieving business outcomes
  • Proven results managing SEM, PPC, Paid Social or SEO, ideally with deep expertise in at least one channel (Google Ads, Bing, Facebook, LinkedIn…)
  • Obsessed with revenue and performance: you drive and optimise experiments to fuel growth
  • Comfortable allocating and adjusting budgets for maximum ROI
  • Data-lover: you test, measure, iterate — rinse and repeat
  • Experience building, executing and reporting on full growth campaigns, not just running the ads
  • Excellent communication in English AND Italian OR Spanish OR Portuguese
  • Curious, proactive, and data-driven mindset

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with early-stage or high-growth startups
  • Familiarity with full-funnel testing (landing pages, A/B copy, product feature boosts)
  • Experience experimenting across new channels and growth tactics
  • Deep curiosity for tools, tactics, and trends (and being first to try them)
  • Experience with our Growth stack: Segment, Postgresql, Hightouch, Hubspot, Webflow, Zapier, Integromat, Amplitude, Lemlist, Clearbit, Asgard, BuiltWith, Phantombuster, Correlated, Dreamdata, and other 20+ tools (plus the ones you believe will make us succeed).

Your DNA

  • Curiosity: You’re always exploring what’s working (and what’s next) in growth
  • Ownership: You treat the business metrics as your own — signups, conversions, and revenue are your responsibility
  • Ambition: Bold targets don’t intimidate you; they energize you
  • Strategy: You’ve been hands-on before, but now you can design and execute with clarity and purpose
  • Drive: You move fast, test fast, and learn even faster

You’ll probably find this role frustrating if…

  • You need constant reassurance or close supervision
  • You struggle with routine or high activity volumes
  • You prefer to strategise without executing.
  • You avoid owning business results.

Manager & Team

Meet Your Manager: Pedro Costa - Global Head of Growth (Location: Portugal)

Your Team:

  • You’ll Work Day-to-day With (Italy) Federica Felicetti, Head of Marketing; (Spain) Nelson Ferreira, Growth Manager; (Portugal) Joana Fonseca, Head of Marketing
  • Key Stakeholders: BDR Team, Product Team, Marketing team

Team Rituals:

  • Daily for initiatives
  • Bi-monthly 1:1s with Manager
  • Weekly performance results sharing
  • Monthly metrics review
  • Quarterly targets

Access & Belonging (Equal Opportunity)

We hire for impact and potential, not pedigree. We welcome applications from people with non-linear careers, career breaks, caregiving gaps, and those changing fields. No discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender identity/expression, marital or family status, pregnancy, neurodivergence, race/ethnicity, religion/belief, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected ground.

Assessment Fairness:

  • We anchor on evidence of outcomes (what you shipped, moved, or influenced).
  • We actively de-bias by using structured rubrics, multiple assessors, and blind screening most of the time (we won’t know your name, gender, or personal info until the interview stage).

Application Clarity

  • No cover letter required.
  • Apply with your CV in English.
  • You may be asked a few short, relevant questions.
  • Total candidate time investment: ~3 hours end-to-end.

Hiring Stages (What to Expect, Why & How Long)

  • CV Screening — Signal check vs must-haves. Done by People + Hiring Manager. You’ll hear from us within 8 business days.
  • Role-Fit Questionnaire (async) — Purpose: capture signals your CV can’t (languages, tools, scenario judgement) and calibrate seniority. Format: multiple choice + short answers.
  • Hiring Manager Interview - Deep dive into your work (30 min) — Structured around outcomes, decisions, and collaboration.
  • People Interview - Allow us to know you! (30 min) — With People. Stress-free virtual coffee, focused on getting to know you as a person.
  • Case study - Let's peak into this role's challenges (60 min) — Exercises that represent potential challenges this role would have.
  • Marketing Management chat - Meet the CMO (45 min)
  • Final Conversation (CEO) — Values, strategy, and your growth (30 min)

AI & Hiring Tools Transparency

We use a few tools to reduce bias and improve documentation, not to make hiring decisions. Every application is reviewed by a human, and no decision or rejection is made by AI.

Speed & Communication

  • Decision: within 4 weeks of your application.
  • Updates: weekly if the process runs longer.
  • Scheduling: interviews between 10:00–16:00 CET (flexible across Europe).
  • Feedback: from the Case stage onwards, you’ll always receive written or verbal feedback.
