Position Summary

As a Data Analyst II, you will conduct advanced analyses of potential fraud cases using claims data and multiple data sources. Your work supports high-value cases potentially leading to law enforcement referrals, recovery of overpayments or administrative actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive analysis of healthcare claims using advanced statistical methods.
  • Collaborate with management, investigators, and analysts on case generation.
  • Apply data mining, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics to identify anomalies.
  • Validate outputs and ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
  • Communicate analytical insights to internal stakeholders and law enforcement.
  • Support CMS reporting with timely and accurate data analysis.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on fraud detection techniques.
  • Maintain documentation integrity and adhere to confidentiality protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required & Preferred Qualifications

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Data Science or related field with minimum 2 years’ experience in analyzing Medicare/Medicaid data and SQL/Python. Familiarity with SAS, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, and relevant libraries or visualization tools is required. Experience with healthcare claims, ICD codes, and Medicare/Medicaid billing practices is essential. Preferred experience includes working with state Medicaid agencies or transitioning from SAS to modern tools.
