About the Role

The Freelance Editor State Political Team will edit 6-12 articles, videos, and other multi-media content each day. Reporting to the VP and Deputy of Political Content, you will ensure accuracy, fairness, and adherence to journalistic ethics.

Scope of Work

• Edit written stories and collaborate with reporters to finalize copy.
• Edit video scripts and review finished video cuts.
• Review and edit carousels for social optimization.
• Maintain content accuracy and journalistic ethics.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will have 5-8 years of experience in political journalism or related fields, possess strong editorial skills, and have multimedia journalism experience. Familiarity with digital content management systems and social media platforms is essential.

Compensation And Benefits

$50 per hour for 12 hours per week. Initial contract is for two months with potential extension.
