About the Role
The Senior Project Manager Technology Counter Terrorism Policing HQ works within the National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters to deliver high complexity technology projects. In this role, you will lead a team and manage projects across a range of technical disciplines such as cloud, applications, infrastructure, and mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support project delivery to resolve business challenges
- Define methodologies, governance, and reporting in line with Portfolio Office standards
- Engage with governing forums and senior stakeholders with briefings and targeted conversations
- Manage projects remotely or in person, ensuring progress and controlling dependencies
- Develop project plans, business cases, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies
- Oversee commercial management and contract processes with the CTPHQ commercial team
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain key relationships
- Implement change control, document management systems and drive innovation based on best practices
- Recruit technical specialists as needed
Experience & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have in-depth practical project management experience in ICT projects within complex environments, strong communication skills and expertise with MS Office tools including MS Project and Visio. Experience in secure technology-based projects, financial budget management, stakeholder management, risk and issue management, and national security technology projects is essential. Certifications such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner, Agile Project Management and ITIL Foundation are required. National Security Vetting (DV) clearance is mandatory and British nationality is essential.
