Data Scientist Intern

Overview

As a Data Scientist Intern at Cotiviti, you will contribute to advanced analytics and machine learning projects, focusing on Generative AI and Artificial General Intelligence, and work to solve healthcare informatics challenges.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex healthcare datasets for insights.
• Develop, evaluate, and enhance ML and DL models, especially LLMs.
• Design and optimize data pipelines using cloud services like Databricks, AWS, or Azure.
• Support the development of AI governance frameworks and best practices.
• Implement and manage database architectures including vector databases.
• Collaborate with researchers, product managers, and analysts.
• Communicate technical insights to both technical and non-technical teams.
• Assist in project coordination and support team goals.
• Engage with academic and industry partners on pilot projects.
• Support vendor evaluations and external collaborations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a related quantitative field.
• Interest or experience in AI, healthcare technology, or informatics.
• Experience with Databricks, AWS, Azure, or OCI.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Proficiency in working with databases and statistical analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions and Compensation

• Work involves prolonged sitting or standing with a secure work setup.
• High-speed internet access is required.
• Base hourly compensation ranges from $21.00 to $26.00.
• Nonexempt status with eligible overtime pay.
