About the Position

Join Cosmo 1:1 (formerly ClassUp), the premier online learning platform connecting K-12 students with experienced tutors from top US and Canadian Universities and Colleges. As a High School Tutor, you will set a flexible and consistent schedule to deliver personalized 1 on 1 lessons in math, ELA, and SAT prep.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for students
  • Update your availability in the Cosmo App
  • Prepare appropriate lesson materials based on student age and ability
  • Submit Class Feedback after each lesson
  • Communicate professionally with students, parents, and Cosmo staff
  • Attend all scheduled classes on time and in a professional setting

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of teaching experience in grades K-12 (math, ELA or SAT prep)
  • Teaching license preferred but not required
  • Fast, reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC (minimum CPU 6000)
  • Commitment to at least 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1
  • Minimum of 20 hours weekly availability between 3-10 PM EST
  • Access to a private, quiet location
  • Passion for helping students learn
  • Currently located in the United States or Canada (excluding certain states and regions)
