About The Job

The Hardware Product Engineer role at Corinex involves designing and developing next-generation industrial-grade smart grid communication devices. This role covers the full hardware product lifecycle from concept through regulatory compliance, testing, and production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-performance solutions for smart energy infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and develop industrial grade hardware for smart grid communication devices.
  • Conduct systematic evaluation and testing including PCBA, environmental and regulatory tests.
  • Contribute to system design and translate user requirements into functional components.
  • Develop factory test software in C#, C/C++, Bash, and Python for embedded environments.
  • Collaborate with firmware and manufacturing teams for seamless integration.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support development best practices.
  • Work with product management to translate requirements into solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field. Hands-on experience in hardware product development, schematic design, PCB layout, and use of debugging tools. Solid background in embedded systems, signal integrity, power distribution, and EMC/EMI considerations. Proven ability in interpreting technical drawings, datasheets, and hardware specifications, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree, experience with wireless and wired communication protocols, smart grid or cleantech background, and familiarity with Agile methodologies. Experience with contract manufacturers, thermal and mechanical constraints, and product certification processes is an asset.
