Job Overview

The Manager of Software Engineering is responsible for leading high-visibility projects, championing agile development practices, and ensuring extreme ownership of software products and platforms. Reporting directly to senior management, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams to drive transformational and operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a high-performing software engineering team.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to craft technology roadmaps.
  • Oversee vendor solutions and complex Product/Application projects.
  • Drive agile development in InsureTech solutions using Google Cloud Platform.
  • Maintain positive client engagement with senior-level stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

Required experience is 14-16 years in software/product development with 5+ years in Java, Postgres, GCP, Angular/React and at least 3 years supporting cloud-based data technologies. A BS in Computer Science or equivalent is highly preferred, along with proven leadership experience in agile development environments.

Technical Expertise

Familiarity with technologies including CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Jenkins, Artifactory, ELK stack, Kubernetes, Anthos, Vue.js, Angular, React, and databases like PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server is essential.
