Coralogix AI is dedicated to developing the next generation of AI Agents for Observability. The Knowledge team plays a crucial role in building the memory, understanding, and knowledge systems that enable our application to deliver accurate, high-value answers at scale.
About the AI Knowledge Team Lead Role
We are actively seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial AI Knowledge Team Lead to assume full ownership of Olly’s knowledge systems. This pivotal role involves building one of the most critical pillars of the product, driving innovation, and providing both technical and managerial leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and managerial leadership to the Knowledge team.
- Design and build production-grade knowledge systems capable of operating at massive scale.
- Make critical architectural decisions and tradeoffs, considering factors like LLMs vs. embeddings vs. heuristics, and online vs. offline computation, as well as cost vs. latency.
- Drive research, experimentation, and innovation to define and evolve "what knowledge means" for AI Agents.
- Engage in hiring, interviewing, mentoring, and fostering the growth of the team.
- Collaborate closely with the Agent, Platform, and Product teams to ensure cohesive development and integration.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong can-do and builder mindset, demonstrating true startup DNA with a bias toward shipping rather than over-process.
- Proven experience leading engineers in a technical leadership capacity (Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or senior technical leader).
- Deep understanding of production systems and how to achieve scale.
- Strong intuition for performance, cost, and reliability tradeoffs in system design.
- Hands-on backend experience developing large-scale systems.
- Proficiency with databases such as Postgres, ClickHouse/Snowflake (or similar OLAP systems), and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
- Experience designing distributed systems, including Event-driven architectures, Pub/Sub, Queues, and Caching layers (Redis or similar).
- Practical experience working with AI systems, including OpenAI/LLM APIs, Embeddings, Semantic search, and RAG pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with code indexing or static code analysis.
- Background in observability platforms.
- Research-oriented mindset coupled with fast experimentation skills.
- Experience building knowledge systems or AI agent platforms.
