Job Overview
The Network Monitoring Engineer will manage, maintain, and enhance our enterprise SolarWinds monitoring environment. You will design, implement, and optimize scalable monitoring solutions for our IT infrastructure covering networks, servers, and applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain the SolarWinds monitoring platform.
- Configure, tune and manage SolarWinds modules (NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, IPAM, Log Analyzer).
- Develop custom dashboards, alerts, and reports for system health.
- Integrate SolarWinds with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Analyze monitoring data to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Manage upgrades, patches, and performance tuning for the platform.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and network teams for comprehensive monitoring.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years administering SolarWinds Orion Platform.
- Strong understanding of network and systems monitoring (SNMP, WMI, ICMP, API-based polling).
- Experience with SolarWinds modules: NPM, NCM, SAM.
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, REST API) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with SolarWinds High Availability and Scalability Engines.
- Experience with cloud/hybrid monitoring (Azure, AWS).
- Integration experience with ServiceNow.
- SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) certification.
