Role Overview: Remote Part-Time Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a detail-oriented and professional Remote Part-Time Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in coordinating the release and pickup of vehicles. This involves communicating with body shops, vehicle owners, and insurance companies. Your responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely updates to vehicle files while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position is part-time, requiring 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Reach out to body shops to confirm vehicle pick-up details and obtain necessary release authorizations.
- Communicate with vehicle owners to secure required releases, arrange transport (including 3-way calls with shops or tow companies when needed), and assist with personal item removal.
- Utilize the “DeCode This” tool to search VINs and gather essential vehicle information.
- Maintain organized and accurate notes in the system for each vehicle and all interactions.
- Meet daily performance goals, including making over 100 calls and processing more than 60 live lots daily.
- Participate in weekly team meetings via Microsoft Teams for collaboration and connection.
- Adhere to all Copart policies and guidelines to ensure consistent quality in your work.
- Provide support for other tasks or assist teammates as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of one year of office support experience in a customer service role.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal (phone) and written.
- Typing speed of 45 WPM and familiarity with basic 10-key.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail, effective problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to multitask.
- A professional virtual appearance and a quiet, distraction-free home workspace.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Must be able to work occasional overtime.
- Company-provided office equipment will be supplied to ensure your success.
