Role Overview
The Manager, Advanced Technology at CoolIT Systems will lead the Advanced Technology team. This role focuses on research and development of next-generation liquid cooling solutions, guiding the team, setting strategic directions, and overseeing advanced development projects, reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team, promoting innovation and technical excellence.
- Define and implement strategic direction for advanced technology projects.
- Develop intellectual property documents including patent submissions.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies for liquid cooling applications.
- Manage projects from concept to proof-of-concept and technology transfer.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams.
- Plan budgets and manage resources for R&D activities.
- Build relationships with external research partners and vendors.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and at industry events.
Who You Are
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
- +10 years experience in R&D environments and team leadership.
- Strong technical expertise in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, manufacturing techniques, and liquid cooling technologies.
- Familiarity with R&D processes, methodologies, and project management principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of R&D processes and strategic planning.
- Insight into industry trends in data center and desktop computing sectors.
Skills

- Expertise in technology evaluation and assessment.
