The Role

As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer, you will design and architect scalable and reliable platforms that empower engineers to deliver features efficiently. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, data, and product teams to drive impactful changes and ensure seamless operation of cloud infrastructure, observability tools, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Guide high-impact projects and mentor engineers on best practices.
  • Kubernetes & EKS: Manage clusters ensuring efficient scaling and high availability.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain IaC frameworks using Terraform.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and manage pipelines with GitLab for seamless delivery.
  • Database Management: Oversee database migrations, data integrity, and reliability.
  • Event Streaming: Design and manage platforms like Kafka or Kinesis for real-time data processing.
  • Infrastructure Security: Implement robust security measures across systems.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Develop a holistic approach to monitoring and resolving issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with AWS and advanced multi-region cloud networking.
  • Strong IaC knowledge and Terraform experience.
  • Expertise with Docker containerization.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes and EKS management.
  • Experience in database management and migrations.
  • Skill in managing CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python, NodeJs, Golang and/or Bash.
  • Excellent troubleshooting in production environments.
  • Experience with GitOps principles and tools such as ArgoCD.
  • Experience with Kafka and MSK in AWS environments.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure security best practices.
