About the Role
The Industry Marketing Manager (IMM) is a strategist focused on one or more business sectors, responsible for designing, aligning, and implementing marketing plans that encompass the needs and initiatives of Sales, Product, and Marketing teams for specific vertical markets (e.g., mining, pulp and paper, oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceuticals). Aware of the specific needs of customers, knowledgeable about our solutions and the commercial reality of the sectors entrusted to them, the IMM drives demand through a series of targeted, data-driven, and technically accurate marketing tactics, as well as the creation of accessible, practical, and relevant content for the sector, which illustrates our expertise and sheds light on industry trends, in order to support sales teams and position the company as a recognized leader. Success in this role relies on close alignment and continuous collaboration with internal teams to ensure that marketing plans reflect business unit priorities, market realities, and customer needs. The IMM works in synergy with key marketing functions (digital, studio, communications, events, brand) to deliver consistent and impactful campaigns.
Your Contribution
Sector Strategy and Leadership
- Plan and direct sector-specific marketing campaigns aligned with growth objectives.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new solution launches by sector, in collaboration with Strategic Growth Managers (product/service leaders within business units).
- Act as a marketing advisor to sales teams in assigned sectors.
- Work closely with sector sales managers to harmonize sector priorities with marketing planning and execution.
- Collaborate with central functions (digital, studio, communications and events, brand) to implement key tactics.
- Serve as the primary marketing contact point within industry groups.
Content and Market Expertise
- Create technically accurate and accessible content in partnership with internal experts from business units and sales groups (publications, white papers, articles, etc.).
- Position this content as an industry reference to increase company awareness in the sector, acting as content expert within the marketing team.
- Translate technical details into clear and relevant messages for customers, in collaboration with product experts.
Market Research, Intelligence, and Data Management
- Produce comprehensive market reports to guide strategy and execution.
- Anticipate sector trends, regulatory changes, and technological innovations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of market dynamics, customer issues, and the competitive landscape.
- Own and optimize the customer journey for assigned sectors.
- Ensure data accuracy related to market information, reports, and decision-making.
Sales Support and Customer Improvement
- Provide strategic sales tools, guides, and resources tailored to the needs of each sector.
- Participate in customer improvement processes to align marketing initiatives with customer expectations and feedback.
- Offer strategic sales support across all their activities.
Events
- Represent the company at various industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Collaborate with events and communications teams to deliver impactful sector activities.
- Be available to travel outside of normal working hours, including weekends, for specific events.
Essential Skills and Qualifications for Success
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in B2B or industrial marketing, with proven expertise in sector strategy.
- Good understanding of sectors such as pulp and paper, mining, oil and gas, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
- Good knowledge of Pardot.
- Project management tools (Asana, Monday, etc.).
- AI-based marketing tools.
- Digital Asset Management systems.
- Analytics platforms (Power BI is an asset).
- Communication skills, written and verbal, in French.
- Communication skills, written and verbal, in English would be considered an asset.
