Job Description
Bilingual Technical Product Specialist - Truck Tire - Canada
This role involves an active support function in the Canadian market, addressing product complaints, fleet concerns, and providing technical support to the sales team. The position requires:
- Responding to technical issues and monitoring new production tires.
- Training internal and external teams on warranty complaint processes.
- Reporting findings into the Global Warranty system in a timely manner.
- Maintaining quality assurance procedures to meet performance and safety standards.
- Providing technical product service, training, and detailed presentations.
- Adjudicating warranty tires and offering feedback on failure modes.
- Supplying technical field support in retread and digital solutions.
- Evaluating product performance and representing Continental on technical issues.
Additional responsibilities include traveling frequently (50+%) with the Territory Sales Manager, providing on-site technical evaluation to fleet customers, and preparing professional presentations to various stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 4+ years experience if no degree.
- 2+ years experience in tire or vehicle technology.
- Fluency in English and French.
- Ability to handle and maneuver commercial vehicle tires and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and passport; legal authorization to work in Canada.
Additional desirable skills include customer service experience, knowledge of tire manufacturing/testing, and experience in truck tires sales or R&D.
