Overview

The Workday Core HCM & Security Configuration Lead is the primary subject matter expert focused on configuring Workday Core Human Capital Management (HCM) and Security. This role involves co-leading the HCM stream and ensuring alignment on design decisions, business process configurations, and security setups in collaboration with HR and IT stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR and IT teams to gather requirements and configure Workday Core HCM processes and security components, following best practices.
  • Lead design workshops and document core HR processes, translating business requirements into effective Workday configurations.
  • Oversee and configure Workday security, including roles, groups, and domain policies, ensuring compliance.
  • Develop and execute a configuration work plan including unit testing, user acceptance testing, and end-user training support.
  • Troubleshoot configuration and security issues by providing expert guidance on Workday functionality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Core HCM and Security configuration and coordinate across functional teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 8+ years of HRIS/HCM implementation experience, with 5+ years focusing on Workday HCM.
  • Workday HCM and Workday Security certifications are strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in Workday Core HCM business process configuration and security administration.
  • Experience in leading functional workstreams on large-scale implementations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to unite technical and HR teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
