Role Overview

As an Administration Officer, AU Construction at ConnectOS, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pre-construction team. Your responsibilities will include general administration duties, coordinating effectively with certifiers, external contractors, and various internal departments.

Key Responsibilities of an Administration Officer, AU Construction

  • Lodging and Receiving CDCs: Manage the entire process of lodging and receiving Complying Development Certificates (CDCs), ensuring all necessary communication and requested documents are issued to certifiers promptly and efficiently.
  • Lodging and Receiving Preliminary Approvals: Facilitate the lodging and receiving of preliminary approvals for DA and CDC builds, ensuring timely submissions and strict adherence to all procedural requirements.
  • Liaising with Certifiers: Act as the primary point of contact for all communications with certifiers and other regulatory bodies concerning complying development-related matters. This includes providing essential documentation and addressing any enquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • General Administrative Tasks: Perform a wide range of administrative duties to support the efficient and smooth operation of the pre-construction team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes and enhance efficiency within the development department. You will be encouraged to suggest and implement solutions to improve workflow and productivity.

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years of VA Admin experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role, particularly within the construction industry, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with database management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to work in an Office-based arrangement.
