About Confluent's Site Reliability Engineer - FedRAMP Role
At Confluent, data is in motion. Join our multi-talented team in Toronto to power real time decisions for federal agencies via Confluent Cloud SaaS model. This role is ideal for those passionate about transforming events into outcomes with modern distributed systems and cloud-native tech.
What You Will Do
- Ramp up on FedRAMP controls and maintain federal compliance.
- Champion high operational standards on Confluent Cloud systems.
- Deploy production changes via established change management processes.
- Monitor and handle incidents in complex, distributed systems.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and Disaster Recovery efforts.
What You Will Bring
- 0-2 years of SRE experience and cloud native technologies experience.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
- Experience with telemetry tools (DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus) and scripting (Go, Java, Python, Bash).
- Ability to troubleshoot critical services and work collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto with mandatory office presence twice a week during the first year for new grads. Confluent values diversity, teamwork, and a no-ego environment where all ideas are welcome.
