About the Role

This product design role is a remote, mid-career opportunity for candidates based in Canada. You will work within the Confluent product design organization on projects involving Apache Kafka technology and the Product-Led Growth (PLG) group.

What You Will Do

• Lead design initiatives and conduct UX research on core Kafka features.
• Translate complex ideas into clear and effective design solutions.
• Advocate for customer needs while aligning with business and technical requirements.
• Craft best-in-class user experiences and participate in usability testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and launch new product experiences.

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer in SaaS or B2B environments.
• Experience working closely with product and engineering teams.
• Adept at handling ambiguity and rapidly pivoting design strategies.
• Skill in implementing Design Systems and leading research sessions.
• Ability to produce realistic prototypes and maintain a solid portfolio.
