Job Description
AI Engineer at Confie
The AI Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying production-grade AI solutions including autonomous agents, generative AI applications, and RAG-based systems. This role leverages large language models, agentic frameworks, and advanced machine learning techniques to automate workflows, improve customer experiences, and drive business innovation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and deploy autonomous AI agents using frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or OpenAI Assistants API.
- Implement function calling, tool use, and API integrations with enterprise systems.
- Design agent memory systems for conversational memory and context management.
- Build advanced RAG systems with vector databases and hybrid search techniques.
- Develop generative AI for text generation, summarization, transcription, and call center insights.
- Utilize advanced prompting strategies including chain-of-thought and few-shot learning.
- Integrate with platforms like Snowflake Cortex, OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, AWS Bedrock, and Anthropic Claude.
- Implement AI observability, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks to ensure quality and safety.
- Experiment and fine-tune models using techniques such as LoRA and QLoRA.
- Deploy solutions using containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD and cloud-native architectures.
- Continuously monitor and improve AI solution performance.
- Create design documentation including architecture diagrams and rationale.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
- Mentor junior team members and maintain high quality engineering standards.
- Stay updated with advances in AI technology and best practices in data privacy and security.
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in AI engineering is required, with expertise in AI/ML solution development on platforms like Snowflake, Azure, AWS, OpenAI, and Databricks. Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLM applications, and production deployments is essential, along with proficiency in Python, LangChain/LlamaIndex, and vector databases.
Soft Skills & Preferred Skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are needed. The candidate should be self-motivated, creative, well-organized, and have a continuous learning mindset. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant certifications are preferred.
