About the Senior Scrum Master Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to join a well-established holding company with diversified business operations in a full-time remote capacity across the EMEA region. This critical role involves driving Agile excellence, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic initiatives, particularly within technology and digital transformation projects.
This position is ideal for a servant leader passionate about continuous improvement, collaboration, and fostering high-performing Agile teams within a complex organizational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach and mentor multiple Agile teams to ensure strict adherence to Scrum principles and best practices.
- Proactively identify and remove impediments and address risks that could impact delivery timelines.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to maintain well-groomed backlogs and define clear sprint goals.
- Track and report on Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and team performance indicators.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across various teams and actively promote Agile maturity within the organization.
- Support large-scale Agile transformations across different subsidiaries within the holding company structure.
- Foster a strong culture of accountability, transparency, and high performance throughout the teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Agile environments, with at least 3 years specifically as a Scrum Master.
- Proven experience managing multiple squads within enterprise or multi-entity organizations.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban; SAFe is a definite plus).
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is a mandatory requirement.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in remote, distributed teams across the EMEA region.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset coupled with the ability to navigate complex organizational environments.
