About the Lead Project Manager Role

We are a trusted recruitment partner connecting exceptional professionals with leading global organizations. On behalf of a fast-growing software company, we are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Project Manager to lead complex software initiatives and drive successful delivery across distributed teams. This is a full-time remote role, open to candidates based within the EMEA region.

As a Lead Project Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of multiple software projects, from planning and execution to stakeholder alignment and continuous improvement. You will lead and mentor project management teams while working closely with engineering, product, and design functions to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives.

This role is ideal for a senior project leader who combines strong organizational skills, technical understanding, and people leadership in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Lead Project Manager

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee project managers to ensure consistent delivery standards.
  • Manage multiple software projects across distributed teams and time zones.
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure smooth execution.
  • Act as the main communication point between leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects follow Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies based on requirements.
  • Monitor project performance and conduct regular reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and high-performance culture across teams.

Qualifications for a Lead Project Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of project management experience, including leadership or senior PM roles within the software industry.
  • Proven experience delivering complex software or digital transformation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • PMP or similar project management certifications are an advantage.
