On behalf of a prominent localization and content solutions company, we are seeking a highly qualified and detail-driven English Translator to join their growing international team. This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates across the EMEA region.
Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality English translations that are accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with client expectations. You will translate content from multiple source languages into English while preserving meaning, tone, and intent. Key Responsibilities
- Translate written materials from various source languages into English with high accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Review, edit, and proofread translations to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistent tone, and correct terminology.
- Work closely with localization teams, editors, and project managers to meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Adapt content to suit target audiences, regional nuances, and specific client requirements.
- Manage and maintain translation memories, glossaries, and style guides to ensure consistency across projects.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with linguistic, brand, and style guidelines.
- Stay informed about localization trends, translation technologies, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, English, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional translation experience, preferably in localization or content adaptation.
- Native-level English proficiency with excellent writing and editing capabilities.
- Proficiency in at least one additional language is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, Smartcat, or similar platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate effectively within remote teams.
