About the role
About Us
We are a staffing services technology company that helps organizations design, build, and scale digital products and engineering capabilities. Our teams deliver end-to-end software development, engineering, and design services, and we provide flexible staffing solutions to augment internal teams with specialized talent—quickly and reliably.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our distributed engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for a current undergraduate or recently graduated engineering student to gain hands-on experience in real-world engineering and construction project delivery. You will work alongside experienced Project Engineers, Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Project Managers to support the day-to-day technical execution of complex infrastructure and construction projects while developing your engineering skills and professional toolkit.
What You’ll Do
- Project Support: Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with the day-to-day technical coordination and administrative tasks associated with complex engineering and construction projects; track project milestones, action items, and deliverable schedules.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Project Engineers, Civil Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Construction Managers to support the coordination of engineering deliverables, drawing reviews, and field construction activities.
- Technical Documentation: Assist in the preparation, review, and organization of engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, and construction documents; maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and filing systems.
- RFI & Submittal Support: Assist in the preparation, tracking, and logging of RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals; support the project team in monitoring RFI and submittal status to ensure timely responses and avoid construction delays.
- Schedule & Cost Support: Assist project controls staff with schedule updates, cost tracking, and change log maintenance; learn and apply project controls tools including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project under the guidance of senior project controls engineers.
- Quality Assurance Support: Support the implementation of project quality management plans; assist with field inspection reports, test result documentation, and non-conformance tracking under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Research & Analysis: Conduct engineering research, code reviews, and technical analyses to support design and construction decision-making; summarize findings in clear and concise technical memoranda and reports.
- Meeting Support: Attend and participate in project meetings, design reviews, and coordination calls; prepare and distribute meeting minutes, action item logs, and follow-up documentation.
- Learning & Development: Actively participate in mentorship sessions, lunch-and-learn events, and professional development activities; seek feedback from senior engineers and apply learnings to continuously improve technical skills and project contributions.
