Job Description
About the DevOps Engineer Role
We are supporting a confidential client in seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team. This full-time remote role is open to candidates across the EMEA region. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and security teams to ensure efficient development workflows and high system availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar).
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications.
- Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with development teams to support release and deployment processes.
- Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Apply security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and Linux-based systems.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
