About the Cyber Security Specialist Role

This fully remote, full-time role supports the protection of digital assets, systems, and data for a technology-driven organization across the EMEA region. The Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for safeguarding infrastructure against cyber threats and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor systems, networks, and applications for security threats and vulnerabilities
• Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate remotely with IT, engineering, and product teams
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, trends, and mitigation techniques
• Prepare security reports, documentation, and recommendations for stakeholders

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field. Experience as a Cyber Security Specialist or in a similar role is required. A strong understanding of network security, cloud security, endpoint protection, and familiarity with monitoring tools like firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions is essential.

Preferred skills include experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, and hands-on experience with incident response and threat hunting. Relevant certifications like CEH, CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are a plus.
