About the Role

The Chief Financial Officer is a strategic leader responsible for driving financial health and growth at a well-established financial services provider in the Gulf region. This full-time, fully remote position is open to experienced finance leaders across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage core finance functions including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and compliance.
  • Design and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Deliver timely financial reports, forecasts, and performance insights.
  • Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and risk management frameworks.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to influence key business decisions.
  • Identify risks and opportunities for cost optimization and profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with auditors, financial institutions, investors, and regulators.
  • Mentor and develop the finance team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or ACCA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Proven success in financial strategy, reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in scaling finance functions within financial services, fintech, or similar sectors.
  • Comfortable managing remote teams and working with multicultural stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
