This higher education institution, the first of its kind in the region, aims to expand opportunities in the artistic and creative sectors through a range of programs from vocational courses to doctoral degrees.
General Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst will:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (IFRS/SOCPA compliant).
- Support budgeting and forecasting to align with organizational goals.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis on performance trends and profitability drivers.
- Monitor financial KPIs and prepare dashboards for management.
- Develop and implement financial models for investment appraisal, project feasibility, and business planning.
- Participate in maintaining internal controls and compliance with financial policies.
- Assist in audit preparation and coordination with auditors.
- Contribute to ERP system usage and improvement of data accuracy.
Strategic Responsibilities
Assist the controller in analyzing financial performance trends and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Operational Responsibilities
Handle financial reports and transactions for AP, AR, payments, collections, fixed assets, accruals, and inventories, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Manage general ledger transactions, reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, monthly closing activities, and variance analysis. Coordinate with various departments for alignment of financial planning with operational activities.
Industry Experience & Capabilities
Minimum 3-6 years in financial analysis, budgeting, or reporting roles, with preferred experience in education, consulting, or service-based industries. Must be proficient in Excel, financial modeling, and have experience with ERP systems and financial analytics tools. Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
Qualifications
BS in Finance/Accounting; SOCPA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent certifications.
