About the Role
Confidential Careers, a trusted recruitment partner, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Product Design on behalf of a fast-growing organization. This remote, full-time position is for an experienced engineer passionate about transforming ideas into manufacturable, high-performance products within the MENA region. You will lead end-to-end mechanical design activities, from concept development to production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies from concept to production.
- Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and tolerance analysis to ensure product reliability.
- Conduct design reviews and implement DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, industrial design, and supply chain.
- Support prototyping, testing, validation, and product improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality requirements.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers when needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s is a plus).
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical product design.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar).
- Experience with prototyping, material selection, and manufacturing processes (Injection molding, CNC, sheet metal, etc.).
- Familiarity with FEA / simulation tools is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
