About the Lead Project Manager Role at Confidential Careers

Confidential Careers, a trusted recruitment partner, is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Project Manager on behalf of a fast-growing software company. This full-time remote role, open to candidates within the EMEA region, focuses on leading complex software initiatives and driving successful delivery across distributed teams.

As a Lead Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of multiple software projects, encompassing planning, execution, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement. You will lead and mentor project management teams, collaborating closely with engineering, product, and design functions to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic business objectives. This position is ideal for a senior project leader who possesses strong organizational skills, technical understanding, and people leadership abilities within a remote, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee project managers to ensure consistent delivery standards.
  • Manage multiple software projects across distributed teams and time zones.
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to ensure smooth execution.
  • Act as the main communication point between leadership, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects follow Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies based on requirements.
  • Monitor project performance and conduct regular reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and a high-performance culture across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of project management experience, including leadership or senior PM roles within the software industry.
  • Proven experience delivering complex software or digital transformation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • PMP or similar project management certifications are an advantage.
