Back-End Developer | Remote | MENA
We are a trusted recruitment partner hiring on behalf of a growing software company seeking a skilled Back-End Developer to join their remote team across the MENA region. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable server-side applications that power high-performance digital products. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to build secure, reliable, and efficient backend systems. This is a full-time, paid remote position open to candidates based in the MENA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Build secure, high-performance server-side applications
- Optimize database structures, queries, and overall system performance
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, maintainable code standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 3+ years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET)
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
