Role Overview
As the Director, Fraud Prevention, you will own the operational process of investigating fraud attacks. You will define fraud investigation processes, understand attack vectors, identify vulnerabilities, and drive mitigation through systems, processes, and tools across layered controls. Reporting directly to the Director of Fraud Strategy and Analytics, you will collaborate with Fraud Operations to research and investigate fraudulent activities.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive reporting and analytics on fraud activity.
- Analyze vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations.
- Develop and maintain feedback loops for fraud risk controls.
- Participate in meetings with state representatives and investigators.
- Construct early intelligence reporting on fraud trends.
- Define and monitor success metrics for investigations.
- Continuously monitor emerging fraud trends using real-time data.
- Evaluate fraud detection and prevention tools.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports for senior management.
Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years in financial services or fraud prevention and 2+ years of leadership experience are required. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to analyze complex problems, conduct advanced analyses, and prepare operations reports. A strong background in data analysis and fraud trend identification is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and strong knowledge of SAS analytics programs, including building reports and setting up recurring jobs.
