About the Role: Data Engineer I
The Global Data Engineering team plays a critical role in enabling business with data by building data pipelines, data products and tools for Data Scientists, Analysts, Business Intelligence Engineers, and Executives. The Data Engineer will manage data pipelines across areas such as consumer revenue, video, clickstream, commerce, social and ad revenue.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill technical development needs.
- Develop and maintain efficient code to transform raw data for analysis.
- Work with other data engineers to implement a shared technical vision.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept to release.
- Engage with PO team, manage JIRA tickets, and update work logs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant professional experience in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of software development experience designing scalable systems.
- Proficiency in Python/PySpark and understanding data structures and algorithms.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Beam.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructures like AWS or GCP.
- Exposure to orchestration platforms like Airflow or Kubeflow.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools (GitHub, SVN, CVS, etc.).
- Understanding of Agile framework and delivery.
- Experience with at least one ETL tool such as Informatica, Talend, or Pentaho DI is a plus.
- Conceptual knowledge of cloud based distributed/hybrid data warehousing solutions and Data Lake is a plus.
