Position Overview
The Audit Specialist role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing audit and advisory engagements within the Operations and IT Audit function. Reporting to Senior Managers, you will perform control testing, risk assessments, and audit procedures in line with the annual internal audit plan. You will deliver high-quality audit reports, practical recommendations, and advisory insights across various operational and IT domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute operational, IT, and integrated audits.
- Perform detailed control testing and document audit findings.
- Prepare concise audit reports for senior leadership.
- Conduct compliance audits and assess third-party/vendor controls.
- Coordinate risk assessments using qualitative and quantitative inputs.
- Analyze data to identify control gaps and remediation opportunities.
- Assess logical access controls and IT general controls.
- Provide advisory support on new initiatives and projects.
- Utilize data analytics to enhance audit effectiveness.
Skills & Qualifications
A University degree in Business, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field is required. Professional audit and/or IT certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CRISC) are preferred along with a minimum of 7 years' experience in internal audit, IT audit, or risk management. Experience with internal control frameworks, gap analysis, remediation planning, and compliance reviews is essential.
